The great Hollywood talk-show host Oprah Winfrey has canceled her charity spectacular Oprah’s Big Give.
The show, which recently completed its first run on ABC, invited 10 members of the public to battle over who could find the best and most unusual ways to raise money for a selection of good causes.
During its month-long run, the show generated millions of dollars for charity and included celebrity guest appearances from superstars Jennifer Aniston, John Travolta and other big Stars in the Hollywood.
The television studio was desperate to tie Winfrey down for a second season–but the media queen has said no.
Network boss Steven McPherson tells the New York Post, “We loved that show and absolutely would have loved to bring it back. But it was something Oprah didn’t want to do.”
It’s very sad news for those people who need a helping hand. But I think Oprah has a deeper reason why she canceled this show. And that’s the thing we need to know in the future.
